Rapi-Mount Melamine System
Awarded Australian standard patent in January 2014 (No. 2007262668) as a unique melamine shelving system complete with drawer towers creates a traditional solid look that is strong attractive and durable.
Feature and benefitsEach shelf has an aluminium frame offering protection and strength to each shelf. The front edge of the 4 sided frames is 36mm thick (unlike generic melamine systems that are only 16mm). This feature is unique to Rapi-mount providing the shelf with added strength and good looks.
The product is available in either white or Mocca fineline timber grain, but on occasions some clients have contrasted the white and brown components with other board colours.
Rapi-mount can span further than most other 16mm melamine systems due to the aluminium frame coupled with the strong rod support brace that offers more than another support for the items stored.
The aluminium frame has the ability to adjust to the slight variations in the walls not being perpendicular. The 16mm melamine board (which is cut 18mm smaller than the opening) floats inside the aluminium until fixed off. This virtually eliminates any scribing, gap filling or repair to damaged paint work.
Each corner of the shelf has a plastic cap that hides the ends of the aluminium frame and serves as a less abrasive material to the painted walls when installing the shelf.
